How prices work

Vos Kost shows the prices kosher supermarkets already publish on their own public websites, side by side, so you can see where an item costs less.

Where the prices come from

Once a day, around 12 PM (New York time), we read each store's public online prices. We don't log in anywhere and we only read what anyone can see.
Every item a store lists online is on Vos Kost. If 2 or more stores carry it, you see them side by side. If only one store has it, it says "Only at" that store.
The same product is matched by barcode first. If there is no barcode, by the exact same name and size.
Each store's "read X ago" time is on the Stores tab, and the top of the page shows when prices were last read.

Prices can be different in the store. Website prices may be out of date, may be for online orders only, or may need a minimum order. Always confirm with the store.
Sale prices are shown the way the store lists them. A price that looks like a different pack size is greyed out.
Vos Kost is independent. We are not connected to, approved by, or paid by any store listed. Store names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to say where a price comes from. We don't use store logos or photos.
Kashrus: we don't certify kashrus and don't vouch for any product or store. Always check the hechsher on the package and ask your Rav.
